Bible Reading Plan(s)
For the past year I have been using Grant Horner's Bible Study plan and have LOVED it! You're supposed to read 10 chapters a day, but being a slow reader, I have gone down to 1 or 2 chapters a day, but did that 10 chapter-a-day thing for a while! The way Grant Horner has his Bible Reading plan laid out, you get a bigger picture of the Bible and all see how it is all actually one big book, instead of 66 small books smooshed together. You're able to see that God saw the picture all the way back in the beginning and knew of what was to come, and how that is seen throughout the Bible so beautifully. To find out more about Grant Horner's Bible Study, click here, and it will bring you to a PDF that I strongly advice you to print out, read, and use! This really has been my favorite.
YouVersion also has LOTS of great plans to choose from. If you don't have the YouVersion app, I strongly recommend it to you. It gives you a verse of the day (which they have also made it to pretty pictures you can save onto your computer or phone), and also has reading plans right there in the palm of your hand for you to just press 'start plan' and start reading! It's THAT easy! You can also highlight verses and make notes within your Bible, and find the right translation for you. I often will go between the NIV, CEV, and The Message translations. Also, I am a slow reader, and YouVersion will actually read TO you! What?!?! This has helped me so much in the Old Testament when it is reading through names or measurements of buildings and things.
If you know of any other plans, feel free to contact me and let me know so that others can know too! Thanks so much! Hope this helps!
