How to make an organic London Fog!
How to Make an Organic London Fog
If you've never had a London Fog, it should probably be the next thing you do in life. Ha!
London Fogs are made with earl grey tea, milk, and vanilla syrup. If you're a Star Trek fan, then you've heard Captain Picard say,
"Tea. Earl Grey. Hot."
Anyway.. ever since I started down my heatlhy trail (check out the YL tab on this site to find out more!), I have gone as-far-as-I'm-able organic.
Sadly there isn't an organic vanilla syrup at the grocery store I go to, so... I've learned to somewhat make my own with the organic ingredients I DO have access to. So, without further ado,... my organic london fog recipe!
- Organic Earl Grey Tea Bag
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Organic Raw Cane Sugar
- 1/3-1/4 Cup of Organic Milk (your choice)
- 1 Cup of Water
- *Add a drop of Young Living's 'Lavender Vitality' for a yummy addition!
Step 1: Boil your water.
Step 2: Pour water in mug holding onto the tea-bag string.
Step 3: Pour in Vanilla Extract.
Step 4: Add Sugar.
Step 5: Add Milk.
Step 6: Stir.
With this specific tea drink, I can usually keep the tea bag in for much longer than it's normal steep time. I believe it's due to the milk. Feel free to keep it in as long as you desire and remember, the longer you keep the tea bag in, the more bitter it will become.
Hope you enjoy your own Organic London Fog soon!
Cheers!
