5 Easy Ways I Use Lemon Essential Oil:

My "Smells Clean" Oil

The Lemon essential oil is a great basic essential oil to have at all times. It not only makes your house smell SUPER clean, but also actively HELPS clean your house too! Here are 5 ways I use the Lemon Essential Oil in my house!

Topically- 

*PHOTOSENSITIVE: Lemon is one of oils that is photosensitive. Therefore, you do not want to put this onto you skin topically and then go outside into the sun. If you DO use this oil topically, I would recommend putting it somewhere that you KNOW it will not be in direct sunlight. I typically don't use this oil topically, but you can if you are careful. (I know some people who put it on their cold sores to help them heal faster.)

Internally- 

WATER: Oh my gosh! One of my favorite things to do with the lemon essential oil is to put a drop into a cold glass of water. This is one of the best tasting drinks I've ever had! It is SO refreshing! You could even make yourself a fresh lemonade if you'd like using lemon essential oil!

VEGGIE CAPSULE: You can also put a couple of drops into a veggie capsule to help boost your immune system! I do this often.

FOOD: Have a recipe that calls for some fresh squeezed lemon (like a lemon-trout dish)? Try using a drop of essential oil instead! It tastes makes your dish taste super fresh!!

Aromatically- 

DIFFUSE AWAY: I definitely recommend diffusing lemon in your house! It makes your house smell so clean, and also helps boost your immune system at the same time! Put a couple of drops in your favorite diffuser, and wait for people to come over and tell you how clean your house smells (even though all you did was through a couple of drops in the diffuser). #Winning

You can also use this oil if you're diffusing an oil you don't exactly love. My husband LOVES using Young Living's purification oil. At first, it was too much for me to handle alone, so I dropped a couple drops of lemon into the diffuser along with the purification and BAM!... delight! :)

ADD TO YOUR HOUSEHOLD CLEANER: I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm putting it here.
Add a couple of drops to your household cleaner to add cleaning properties! I recommend using Thieves Cleaner from Young Living, but you can do this to any cleaner of your choice. Lemon also helps get out grease stains, too!
