Fearless Friday - The Adventure Begins

"Hooray!!!! It's Friday!!!!!

Oh no... it's Friday!!!"

This is how I think I'm going to feel for the next 6 months, because...

Maria's Missions is going on an adventure

For the next 6 months we are going to celebrate each day in a different way! (Woah... that rhymed.) So, here's how we're going to celebrate:

Must-Read Mondays:
On Mondays, we celebrate BOOKS! (And also magazines, articles, and more... but mostly BOOKS!) I'm going to tell you about an array of books that I've read and DEFINITELY think YOU should read! From cookbooks to Bibles to pop-up books kids will LOVE, we're going to go through a lot, so get your public library card ready!

Essentially Tuesdays:
Essentially Tuesdays are all about something that is essential to my life. Have you got the hint yet? Tuesdays are going to be all about essential oils! Woohoo!!!! We're going to start from the basics! For the next 6 months, I am going to show you some SUPER easy ways I use essential oils. This is a great place to start if you're new to essential oils, and if you ever have any questions about them, always feel free to ask! :)

Worshipful Ways Wednesdays:
Wednesdays are going to be about worship. From "Ways to Worship God Physically" to "Ways to Worship God Through Hard Times" to "Ways to Worship God By Encouraging Others"... we are going to learn together! Maria's Missions mission statement is "to strengthen relationships with God, encourage daily Quiet Time practices, and support healthy, balanced lives." This is the day that we're really going to dive deep into knowing, understanding, and following that statement! Eek!!!!

Thrifty Thursdays:
Thrifty Thursdays is going to be a fun day to learn how YOU can save some moo-la (AKA... money).   From house cleaner to epsom salt gift ideas, you're going to find ways for you to be creative and save! Woohoo!!!

Fearless Fridays:
Here we go. So in creating these days, I had thoughts on "Favorites Fridays" and telling you about some of my favorite things. I thought about "Fun Fridays" where I'd tell you something fun you could do, or even "Funny Friday" for jokes. But all of those sounded kind of "meh" to me. That's when "Fearless Fridays" came along, and BAM!... it stuck.

So... on Fridays, I am going to tell you about my experience I've had the previous week doing something I fear.

I often practice this by pushing myself even when I'm scared of something (and being an introvert, I fear a good many things!)

This week, my fear was to actually start a blog that I have to write for every day for the next 6 months. And without further ado... here it is.

Writing a blog is not something that I started so that I could "show others how to live" or selfishly think I've got it all right. Honestly, I don't even think it's something I'm very good at, but it is something that I have felt called to do, and therefore am doing it in order to honor God, and follow Him wholeheartedly. Whether it COMPLETELY FREAKS ME OUT to be putting myself out there for people to see/judge/critique/you name it... it all goes back to Galatians 2:20.

"I have died, but Christ lives in me, and I now live by faith in the Son of God who loves me and gave His life for me." - Gal. 2:20

This is my life verse. I have died in my old ways, and I now live by faith in Jesus Christ who came before me and sacrificed his life for me. I live for him, and him alone now.

Wow! That got deep fast!

So... I'm hoping Fearless Fridays will encourage YOU to do something YOU have been fearing! It's funny, once you get on the other side of your fear, you often think, "that actually wasn't too bad!" Join me in learning that and experiencing it during this adventure!

Scripture Saturdays:
On Scripture Saturdays, I'm going to post an art project for us to do that reflects a Scripture verse! This will be a fun way to get your hands covered in paint or glue, and to use those craft supplies you have in that closet at home! Make sure to have fun with it! Don't make your craft EXACTLY like mine! Start with the idea, and see where it takes you! This is a great time to have some worship tunes playing, or to be outside in nature, hanging out with God! God would LOVE some quality time with you, and this is a fun way to enjoy that! When you're done with your project, feel free to post it on your social media and let others know where they can find some fun, creative projects!

Sunday School Sundays:
I am truly a Sunday School teacher at heart. I LOVE teaching kids more about God! It's one of my absolute favorite things to do! I love coming up with ideas on "How am I going to teach kids about adultery???" So, in case you're at a brain block or need a few extra ideas to use as YOU teach the kiddos at your church, I am going to provide you with some ideas I've either used in the past, or will be using in the future to help us both be able to teach kids in a fun but productive way.

So, there you have it! Our new adventure!

I hope you'll enjoy reading these blogs as much as I enjoy sipping on my mom's homemade hot chocolate! (Thanks for the endless supply, Mom!) I'm going to enjoy taking this adventure with you, and can't wait to see where we end up!

TGBTG
Cheers!
