Must-Read Monday - Life Application Study Bible

The Life Application Study Bible (NIV) is my absolute favorite Bible that I have ever had!

I personally think everyone should have one... seriously.

Why do I love THIS Bible specifically? 

I'm glad you asked!!!!

The Life Application Study Bible has INCREDIBLE resources... especially the footnotes! Any time a teacher has asked a question in Sunday School or small group, all I have to do is look down to the footnotes and that question is most likely answered somewhere in the magical writing below the Scripture we're talking about. 

It's crazy. 

It's also an awesome resource for when doing my personal quality time. Sometimes I get confused or a little bogged down by Biblical text (especially in the Old Testament), and these footnotes help keep me focused and understand more of what's going on throughout Scripture.

ANOTHER wonderful thing this Bible has is introductions to each book of the Bible. These usually include:

- a written introduction to the book

- the purpose of each book

- the authors (if known)

- who the original audience was

- about when it was written

- the setting

- key verses

- key people

- key places

- special features bonuses

... and all of that is usually just on the first page! The introductions also give blueprints and mega -themes.

These introductions are AWESOME to help you understand what's going on before digging into the Scripture. 

AWESOME!!!!

So if that wasn't enough, this book also has well drawn maps to help you understand where the places are that are mentioned throughout Scripture as well as charts/diagrams, cross-references, info on "How To Become A Christian", a master index, and a dictionary/concordance that I personally use ALL the time!

In all, this particular Bible is:

- easy to read/understand

- great at relating to "nowaday" stuff

- a bang for your buck

- contains AMAZING footnotes that help you "get it" (especially in the Old Testament)

- helps you get a better grasp on the Bible timeline

- includes a dictionary/concordance to help you look up certain topics as well as definitions in an easy-to-use and -find way

As you can see, this is my absolute, FAVORITE Bible out there. It has helped me grow more than any other Bible I have, and I hope you will dive into it soon!
