Scripture Saturday - Love is Puzzling

Today, we'll continue our theme of "love" for this month of February
by doing an art project focusing on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a!

First, grab a blank piece of paper.

We will then fold it in half (hamburger style).

Next, fold it in half again.

Now, turn it long ways and fold it in half (hot dog style).

And then fold it in half once more.

When you open it up, you should have 16 rectangles.

Next, we will make draw a heart starting in the top middle center and trying to make the heart as large as you can (so we can fit the words in it).

*Tip - You won't need the very bottom left or bottom right rectangles, so when you make your heart, you can leave those out.

You will also draw half circles in the center of each line on the rectangles.
These will be the links for the puzzle.

Now, let's write the attributes of love you can find in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a.

I use a few different versions of the Bible to create mine.

Now, we'll cut the heart out.

Yay!!!

So, you can stop here, and continue by cutting each puzzle piece out as seen below.

In all, this is your work of art, so create it however you'd like!

This verse is absolutely amazing. I used to have it painted on cardboard and hung it throughout my entire apartment. It was a great reminder to look up and see, especially when in an argument with someone. This verse shows qualities of God, and ways we can work to love people better and be more like God.

Take each piece, and really take in how you could better love others around you.

God is a perfect example of how to love others, and I'm so grateful that He gives us this verse to help us learn how to love others better.
