Essentially Tuesday - 3 Easy Ways I Use Tea Tree EO
My "Gets the Smell Out" Oil
The Tea Tree essential oil is also known as Melaleuca Alternifolia. I have never seen an oil work so quickly on getting rid of a smell! Whether it's due to a dog, burnt dinner, or something that happened in the bathroom, this oil can do some heavy lifting!
Here are 3 ways I use Tea Tree:
FOOT: I don't have problems with foot fungus, but I have heard that this REALLY helps! Put 1-2 drops on the area and enjoy the healing powers of Tea Tree.
Internally-
I do not recommend consuming this oil internally.
Aromatically-
IN THE HOUSE: Diffuse a couple of drops of Tea Tree whenever and wherever you need it! In the bathroom. In the bedroom. In the kitchen. In the living room. In the mudroom. You name it, it can help!
Once, my husband's dog completely stunk up my room! I'm not sure if it was his breath or that he hadn't had a bath in awhile, but it was AWFUL! I couldn't believe how bad a dog could stink up a room by just being in it. Anyways, I had heard of Tea Tree and that it could help get rid of unwanted smells. I hadn't tried it because I thought Tea Tree had a smell of it's own. But because it smelled SOOO bad, I was willing to try it. So, I put 3 drops of Tea Tree into my diffuser, turned it on, and then shut the door. I left the house and then came back, and when I opened the door... I couldn't smell a thing. Somehow Tea Tree had completely fix the smell AND it didn't smell like Tea Tree. WHAT?!?! I don't know how it does it, but it has done this same thing multiple times (including when I accidentally made the whole house smell like Oregano... oops!) This stuff is crazy good!
LAUNDRY: Tea Tree is also AWESOME when trying to take smells out of laundry. Just put a couple of drops onto a dry ball, and toss in your clothes!
If you have any smelly boys in the house (whether they're five or fifty), I would highly recommend getting and always having this oil on hand! You just never know when you're going to need it. Trust me!
Tea Tree for the WIN!
